Requirements
Seoul Tech Impact Hackathon 2023: Submission Requirements
All submissions must be submitted on Devpost.
The submission deadline is 1PM KST NOVEMBER 26TH.
Offline Participants: You must be prepared to do a presentation between 2-3pm on Sunday 26th November to show off your project.
Online Participants: You must submit a video presentation (including a demo) with your hack.
What must you include in your Devpost Submission?
1. Problem Statement:
- Clearly articulate the social problem your project aims to solve, focusing on the social good that it will impact.
2. Team Introduction:
- Introduce your team members, including their name, role in the team, and photo (optional).
3. Project Beneficiaries:
- Identify who will benefit most from your project.
- Explain the importance and significance of solving the task for these beneficiaries.
4. Solution Overview:
- Summarize your project and your progress so far.
- Focus on key aspects of your solution without going into excessive detail.
- Detail the inspiration behind your project and how it addresses the chosen challenge.
- Highlight any learning experiences and proud achievements.
- Include photos or other visual elements to showcase your hack.
5. Technical Details:
- List the technologies used (languages, platforms, APIs, hardware, etc.)
- Explain any unique technical challenges faced and how they were overcome.
6. ONLINE PARTICIPANTS ONLY - Link Presentation Video:
- For online participants, please include a presentation video. (In-person participants will present a 5 minute presentation/demo their projects on Sunday 26th from 1.30-3pm.)
- Submit a video demo (≤ 5 minutes) showcasing your project's features. It should include the following:
- Your team, including their name, role in the team, and photo (optional).
- What social problem are you trying to solve?
- A description of your solution.
- A demonstration of your project in action.
- Information about your tech stack.
- Details about the challenges you faced when making this project.
7. Project Write-up:
- Ensure submission is made by the designated deadline.
8. Link:
- Provide a link to the GitHub repo of your project (must be a public repo).
- Provide a link for judges and other participants to try out your project.
Please ensure all components of your submission are complete and submitted before the deadline (1pm KST Sunday Nov. 26). Incomplete or late submissions may not be judged.
Remember, your presentation/video is a critical part of the hackathon, and it plays a key role in winning a prize.
